How to do the Endurance Races on Gran Turismo 4

1. Choose your car: Choose a car that will be able to go long periods of time without having to go in the pits.

2. Choose your tires: Choose racing tires that last a long time. Anywhere from Medium to Super Hard will work. Some races require Sport tires. Just use medium Sport tires, that's the best traction and endurance sport tires.

3. Choose your track: Choose the track that you want to race on. Most Endurance Races give a nice cash prize. The 24 hour races give at least 1,000,000 Credits.

4. Put on the settings: Once you get to the menu right before you start the race go to settings. (The toolbox icon)

5. Fix the transmission: (Optional) Go to the wrench next to Full Customize Transmission. Change the "Auto" to 16-20, this is so you'll have a good top speed and good acceleration.

6. Start: Go back to the menu where you select A-Spec or B-Spec. Choose B-Spec, unless you have a lot of time on your hands to race yourself.

7.Race: Once the race starts press R1 and it will take you to a screen that has a map on the right and the positions on the left.

8. Add speed: Hold down L1 and press the right directional button 2 or 3 times. This will put it in X3 mode, which is much faster.

9. Watch: Keep an eye on the B-Spec Driver because he will pit on his own. When he does it will take you out of X3 mode and you need to press OK for the pit stop or it will take a long time while it gives you a while to choose your tires and gas.

10. Collect: Hopefully you won first place and you can get your Prize money and Prize Car! If you lost, then you need to work on your B-Spec Drivers skill level some more, or get a faster car.
